Destination wedding in Monferrato
Christine and Douglas was the most anticipated wedding of the entire season. And it’s because the guys arrived directly from USA and more precisely from Philadelphia. It’s been a beautiful destination wedding directly here in the Monferrato area, on October, a month which always provides atmospheres, flavors and beautiful colors.
The Wedding day started as usual with the preparations of the guys, Christine first,then Douglas: in practice I ended up in america, lots of chatter, smiles and gag to strain the tension and finally straight to the Castle di Uviglie for the Ceremony and the pictures.

As usual I took the couple’s photographs before the Ceremony was held, a “first look” pictures with Christine and Doug who could have stayed alone for a while for some moments of intimacy.
The castle of Uviglie in Rosignano Monferrato is without any doubt the perfect location for your Wedding here in the Monferrato and also this time it did not leave indifferent all the guests who have been able to live a glimpse of Monferrato enjoying the territory food, wine and culture typical of our territory.

The bilingual ceremony was celebrated by my dear friend Celebrant Mr. Franco Tosi, translated for the Americans by Doug’s sister Sharon, a ritual embellished by the “wine ceremony” as an ancient medieval ceremony.
At that time the spouses celebrated their commitment by drinking wine from a single cup symbolizing only one blood, one family, one strain.

After the photos with relatives, bridesmaids, bestmen and friends we all went inside for a tour of the castle of Uviglie and then straight to the real heart in the cellars. Here we had a rich aperitif to enjoy our typical products.
So without even noticing they did the 6 pm so we left for the Accademia Filarmonica of Casale Monferrato, the venue for the wedding banquet!

For those who have never been “Palazzo Gozani Treville” always leaves open: It was built by the will of the Marquis Giovanni on the design of Giovanni Battista Scapitta (1711) along the ancient San Paolo district, but the works interrupted for death of the designer, later resumed by the captain of Lugano Giacomo Zanetti. The building was rebuilt in 1781 according to neoclassical canons by the Viceroy Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi, author of the imposing façade slightly concave to support the road’s progress. The layout of the building on three floors above the ground is large: the ground floor with a core of representation around the courtyard of honor; the noble floor, which looks out onto the street, and the attic already intended for servitude and goods. After passing through the main entrance, you enter the atrium where the walls decorated with beautiful prospects expand the space bounded by pavilions and cruises, ingenished by light rococo style stuccos and supported by agile single or couple pairs.

Amazing dinner by the Accademia’s Restaurant which has offered a menu typically Monferrino, also offering the inevitable Krumiri Rossi to end with the cutting of the cake always auspicious for a long life together!
